The Bank, which announced a subscribed capital to 372.6 million Br and paid up capital of 239.6 million Br during the past six months, is planning to extend the number of its branches to seven by the end of the fiscal year 2013/14.
The Bank’s founding president, Fasika Kebede, left in late September, 2013, prompted by the Board’s decision to put her on forced leave after her disputes with some of the management. The Bank, which struggled to find a suitable replacement to Fasika due to its focus on female leadership, is waiting for the National Bank of Ethiopia (NBE) to approve its new nominee, a man this time.
